It's Friday night and I'm looking forward to bed.

My grandma is telling stories about her childhood. She refuses to admit she grew up during the Great Depression, even as she's telling stories about stealing plums for sustenance, with characters such as Big Steve , Buster Brown, and Cookie Miscavage (broke his elbow falling out of the plum tree) and also all of these stories take place between 1930 and 1942.

"Then there was my girlfriend Kash. She came to us the one time all excited. 'Come see, come see!!' she's shouting. So we all go to her house, and she's going 'You gotta see this!' so we all follow her and in the bathroom on the toilet her father blew his brains out with a shotgun. We always had something to do!"
