A quick google search revealed that she was called Phyllis Stalnaker and that this was part of a mugshot which described her as a weedhead and a tramp

I'd put it up there with NFL, particularly if talking about Rugby League.

Also, to put my two cents in on this subject, soccer is not a difficult sport. That is part of it's appeal.

Also, could someone enlighten as to why Americans call NFL Football?

It is a game which has lot's of similarities with Rugby and almost none with actual football. This has always puzzled me!

So apparently when football first became popular they called it 'Association Football'

But association football was too long and formal a name so they decided to abbreviate it to something catchy. Instead of doing the obvious and just calling it football, they settled on 'soccer' instead.

After a short while everybody realized that this was a shit idea and they did what should have done to start with, and called it football.

I...I grew up my whole life believing soccer was a term invented by arrogant Americans. This is a shock to the system. Genuinely triggered ryte now

So this whole time when soccer fans snobbishly condemn Americans for calling American football 'football'...it was actually Europeans at fault????????
