I'm annoyed that I'm awake trying to figure out my dental insurance instead of sleeping or playing video games or whatever. I need my wisdom teeth out so I scheduled an appointment with the surgeon I wanted to do it, but it turns out he's no longer at the branch by my house so now I'd have to go into the city to get it done by him. I really don't care who does it. The first time I made the appointment, it was scheduled at a place an hour away from me. I made one again for somewhere kinda closer, but it's still in the city and this feels like a stupid trip to make when I could probably just change surgeons and get it done here. The only reason I picked this surgeon was because my mom insisted since he'd extracted my sister's wisdom teeth.

I kind of feel shitty for wanting to call them again to cancel this surgery, but I set the appointment for January so like, it's not like it's short notice. I'm just gonna go to the branch here in person and have them update my insurance (they failed at this over the phone and I'm not sure if they even got the right info because the phone number they had for me was totally wrong) and see if I can cancel that other appointment.

I'm not even 100% sure if these people are in my insurance plan network, but my insurance kind of covers out of network stuff anyway. The receptionist I talked to was like "We don't partner with managed care plans" and I thought she was talking about the insurance I had the first time I went there (which was some ACA plan, but it was through the same insurance company), but I really have no idea and I'd rather let them work it out.
