I can hear Wikey singing this Manic Street Preachers song when I listen to it. He’s clearly heavily influenced by them. |
That is me singing |
so that's what you ended up naming your band...

that Manic Street Preachers song is from 1992! It's pretty good.
I was just looking at the band's wikipedia page, and one of their former members disappeared in 1995 and nobody knows what happened to him?

There's nothing wrong with a little bit of country. Gary Allan has a great voice.

This is going to be tougher to choose two songs than the first round.
So far, this one is better than List #1, but I see some people saying the opposite.

Aye, that’s Richey Edwards. He probably committed suicide, but his body was never found so there are all sorts of rumours surrounding his disappearance.

I haven’t listened to this one yet, but it looks better on paper to me.
Will give it a go tomorrow if I get chance, and hopefully listen more than once this time

I agree mostly. I think this one is better than the first.
This one has more really good songs IMO, but it has more songs I dislike.

I mean I assumed My Type (e.g.) was p well known but it seems like that was new to a lot of people at least |
Yeah never heard of it. I agree with Curtis though, heard Boston a milion times before. It’s a great song, but I hate that it’s stuck in my head now lol.

oh, I didn't realize I knew that Augustana song. I don't mind it but wouldn't add it to a playlist personally.
I'd have to say no to the Mika song altogether though. I do like Grace Kelly.
I don't which exactly, but I'll be voting for two of:
Brand New " Can’t get it out"
Manic Street Preachers "Motorcycle Emptiness"
Gary Allan "Smoke rings in the Dark"
Greta Van Fleet "Safari Song" and Mounties "If This Dance Catches On" and Animals "Inside - Looking Out" would round out my favourites from this group.

Actually like last round, I'm voting for the two that stood out after the first listen. I know who I'm voting for now. :P

My favorites are probably:
If this dance catches on (by far my favorite, it's just really good IMO)
Dance you back to life (that is not a song I'd normally like, but I do like it)
Motorcycle Emptiness
Inside Looking Out
I am going to have a hard time picking my second favorite, because I like them equally, they're all good songs. Fortunately, I will have another 12 days to think about this.
Didn't skip any, except for Boston, since I don't want it stuck in my head. It's a good song though.
Some songs don't really stand out, they're listenable, but I don't really notice them. Maybe they need to grow on me a bit more.
