Alright! So the way that Read a Bad Situation works is on a success it'll give you "hold" which are basically points to spend on asking some questions that I'll answer in flavor for you. On a 10+ you would have gotten 3, but on a 7, you do get 1 hold.

The questions that you can ask are:

• What’s my best way in?
• What’s my best way out?
• Are there any dangers we haven’t noticed?
• What’s the biggest threat?
• What’s most vulnerable to me?
• What’s the best way to protect the victims?

And not all of these will be applicable at all times. Right now Emily doesn't know there are victims, so that wouldn't be a good question here, but "what's my best way in" is exactly the question you're looking for here. It'll give you the safest way inside.

So, you can ask one of those questions OOC

Emily, you think about trying doors and the like, but something about that feels... wrong. Intuitively. It's weird but you can sense something here, and whatever it is, it isn't something you want to gather the attention of.

Maybe this is a part of that thing Mr. Robinson was talking about, about you being special, but you feel like you have some innate understanding here. Things that dwell in places like this do not like to be disturbed, so the less you have to touch and fiddle with to get in, the better.

So, as counter-intuitive as it would seem in nearly any other situation, the safest way in is through the broken glass window. The hole is more than large enough for you. You just have to be mindful of the glass that's covering the ground, but that doesn't seem too hard.

You'll probably be walking through far worse in an old abandoned building.

Emily tries the front doors. They don't budge. She thinks about casing the joint (lol that's sounds pretty "mission impossible")

Okay, calm down girl. You're not all that yet. Maybe in due time.

Emily feels a sense of urgency. It makes sense to survey all the possible entrances but something is drawing her to the broken window. If someone else broke the window... idk it seems like a sign. It just feels right.

Emily walks up to the broken window, being mindful of the glass. She brushes the sharpest fragments away with her sleeve and climbs through the window.

You get inside without an issue. As you walk through the threshold of the window, you notice that the glass at your feet stops crunching... or... at least the sound of the crunching stops before you actually reach the carpeting.

It's a big building, but it's not a very complicated one. Everything inside, from the structure to the lights to the placement of the concession stands and ticket booth are designed to herd the crowds deeper into the building, presumably to the auditorium where the movies here would once play.

And once more thing leads the eye now: the deeper into the theater, and the closer to the auditorium things are, the brighter the lights that are on inside.

If you really do have a destiny to find in here, that might be the place to go looking for it.

Emily climbs in the window and avoids the broken glass. This is easy, she thinks, as she steps toward the carpet. She surveys her surroundings... the ticket booth, the concession stand with the lingering smell of stale movie popcorn. mmmm...

The lights are dim but the auditorium beyond the curtain has a faint glow. Faint but somehow beckoning. It calls to her... She moves toward it.

The closer she gets to the curtain, the brighter the light seems.

Emily moves toward the light. It seems to pull her. The call of destiny. The burgeoning threat and.. warning?

Too late to turn back now. She reaches the curtain and draws it back, set to enter the auditorium...
