Hey fuck off. They're not great as individual teams but if you look at how competitive it is as an individual division it's bonkers.

It can be both competitive and mediocre all at the same time. Actually, all of them doing just about .500 is pretty much the definition of being mediocre, isn't it?

Royals had 3 good years, now it's back to being one of the worst in baseball. I guess it'll only be 29 or 30 more yrs until they're good again.

That's how it works for the smaller market teams. You build up until you have the perfect timing of the young guys who are still cheap helping to carry the team, then they all have to be sold off once they get more expensive, and it takes another decade or more to get to that point. The pendulum swing is what makes it fun for us little guys, but also aggravating as hell. At least the Royals cashed in and got a championship out of it

If the twins couldn’t pass the Tigers in the standings even with Miggy I doubt they will with out him. I bet they have a better record this season without him anyways.

And besides the Tigers have 100 lose talent, but decent coaching has helped them tremendously this year.

No I’m talking Gardenhire, but let’s be honest he’s relaced an absolute horrible coach in Ausmus, so that could be a big reason it seems better.
