I do want to ask those in the know if john cena seemed like a scum character btw? Since Nav's the one who had me thinking vic's character makes sense as town. John cena is the only one ive heard of so far.

Does lightning rod give them the option of not doing an action? I assumed lightning rod meant everyone's actions get redirected onto one person whether they submit or no. I could be wrong about this though.

I would assume if someone didn't submit an action, they weren't involved in the lightning rod

Who ever submitted an action the night of the lightning rod gets redirected. Is someone chose not to use their role there is nothing to redirect.

This is a good point btw. John Cena in WWE is a hero archetype. Him being Mafia did come as a bit of a surprise.

So I can't say with absolute certainty that a Roman Reigns character will be town aligned.

THAT said, I would not have assumed Cena was scum when the game started, but that's because I was assuming it was gonna be faces vs heels and John Cena is definitely a face
