Question for you guys, since this thread isn't just about mental health:

Is it healthy to drink every night?

No man, it's bad for your liver and can give you cancer in 20-30 years.

Hey, better than eight single Whiskeys. Doubling up tricks your liver into thinking it was only one shot.

Trust me on this, I studied it.

But I think of treating social anxieties in the same way I'd think of treating a phobia. You know, keep forcing yourself into situations which confront your fears, until it is gone. Repetition creates new pathways, breaks the old cycles and habits etc. It does appear to have worked with me, so I can vouch for it, at least in my experience.

That's usually how I go about it, so I might actually have some sort of social phobia instead, since I don't have any problems talking to people once I'm like out and about, that is.

If you're diagnosed for something though, you should definitely take it serious. Trust your doctors, unless it's one of those weird street doctors in Chinatown.

I tend to avoid taking pills or medicine in general though, but mostly just for minor things like headaches, fevers and similar kind of stuff. Not migraines ftr. As for serious conditions, I'm sure it's necessary, which is why there's medicine for it.

Anti-depressants are prescribed for irritable bowel syndrome pretty often.

yeah thats why I was given it. And then it went horribly awry because I don't handle antidepressants well! Ask Bryce about the time I got him a win in baby deja survivor for details.

And then it turned out it was actually my gallbladder anyway

But saying "take this for a problem you (may) have" is very different from "everyone should be on anti-depressants!"

Did you know we all have a vitamin d deficiency. Unless you're taking supplements. Or you hang out in the sun every day. Something like twenty minutes of pure sun exposure a day is required without supplements.

I did blood work awhile ago and the doctor said all my levels were (surprisingly) very good and then he got to Vitamin D on his chart and said "oh dear."

Yeah I definitely agree. I still don't know what the link between anti-depressants and IBS actually is...doesn't IBS also have something to do with the psyche?

Tbh I was worried I might have for a while and so was my gastroenterologist but he never proposed anti-depressants.

It's honestly insane how stress physically manifests itself in the human body.

I think it's basically the "fuck it we don't know does this help?" diagnosis

Yeah some doctors don't even believe IBS is a legit thing.
