I honestly think that if I had a kid, they wouldn't shut him out. I think it may be their way of showing their distaste for my choices? I don't see my parents not wanting to engage with their own grandkid. But at least those are the words they are saying.

No, not at all. Pregnancy brain is real. Wife would make plans or promise something and a few minutes later we would be in an argument because she didn't remember it. Even when I had witnesses.

I'm far more open than the rest of my family for the most part.

And I'm speaking from experience. First time wasn't awesome, second time is surprising how easy it is.
