I think your reason was that if you were JOAT you wouldn't protect yourself N1? Can you explain the Occam's Razor theory (not that familiar except I think the point is if it's not impossible it could be possible?) in reference to this? I'm not following. And what is henty's?

In hindsight I see why Merc was so adamant - probably because he had 3 items and Lamps was claiming 4? But I don't see the big deal about protecting yourself N1. What am I missing?

Occam's Razor is the theory that between two options, the simplest one is usually the correct one. So either Lamps and I devised a plan to distance myself from him by having me type up write-up's on why his actions were questionable and having him lynch me, or I simply didn't believe his claims and he got frustrated with me being so adamant that he should be the lynch. I think the latter is the more likely option, because if I was scum I wouldn't go through that much to put attention on myself just to distance myself from somebody who was obviously going to die soon and flip as Godfather when I could have instead just been under-the-radar.

The protecting yourself night 1 thing was part of my point, my main point when I relynched before Angi counter-claimed was that if Lamps was actually JOAT, he would have claimed immediately because a JOAT claim is provable. I didn't see the point in protecting yourself night 1 and then rolling over to die the next day. As soon as he claimed JOAT a bunch of people hopped off his train, case in point. Why did it take him almost 24 hours? It legitimately didn't make sense to me and I'm still confused why so many people needed Angi to counter-claim to see that.

I went to the players list and looked down the list, noticed Badger's name and remember noticing his absence because Tom is basically my favorite person ever and I usually notice when he posts. It was just to get the ball rolling, I really didn't have a specific preference.

According to the final vote count yesterday, Bryce, Buffy, Dadd, and Herm were all flipping back and forth on Lamps. I'd be okay pressuring any of them today.

I think Redster's rationale about a mafia member jumping off the train after Lamps claimed is pretty logical - scum is prolly gonna at least try to keep their Godfather around at least a little bit. And since day 2's thread was pretty damn long, I used this line of thinking as a starting point. After looking at the posts from these four, Herm stuck out to me as the most inconsistent with his logic throughout the day.

I'll explain my rationale step by step.

Lamps did need to claim, at least that's how I saw it from the start. You survive an attack, you better explain yourself. Then he went on a rant that town should never claim and if he was scum he would fake claim. This seemed true to me so I believed him.

I thought he was town, which is why I lynched Eben over him but it ended up being a mistake.

Lamps and Curtis are very good at tricking me. I fall for their tricks way too often for my liking. That's all it was.
