I literally just turned off this week's episode to come back to it later because it wasn't holding my attention.
This never happened with season one. | "All this from a slice of gabagool?" |

Last episode was p good, best since the S2 premiere I think. I feel like the show's finally gonna gain some momentum now
|
It's really too bad I knew about that prison theory all along, would've been a pretty cool twist otherwise. Now that it's happened I just feel relieved that it's out of the way (:
TYRELL BETTER NOT BE DEAD! Not only is he a great character, but the matter of fact way it gets revealed would just be so lame. I feel like there's definitely something more there considering there was no flashback. Just doesn't add up. If he IS alive I really hope he comes back soon and they don't drag it out til the finale or something
Opening with Joanna was great, even though it was a bit weird having that as the opening for an episode that didn't feature her that much. Is she really giving up on Tyrell?? I feel like there's more to that whole thing as well, basically because her character would become kinda irrelevant if she's just gonna settle down |

Catching up finally
|
I'm counting the two hour premiere as one episode I guess??
I thought this one was great. Y'ALL ARE CRAZY. Tho I think it seemed to be more 4 and 5 that had you guys frustrated. This one held my attention the whole time. Loved the beginning with Elliot putting on the mask and the jacket, with the great music and then SHARP music when the title card came in, that was great. Also really loved the dream sequence, especially when Elliot went to apologize to that worker that he shit all over in season one, that was a hilarious touch. I wish Shayla was there tho :(
Price and Whiterose continue to be really intriguing. I like this season so far because there's a greater sense of mystery. 1. Where's Tyrell. 2. Who's hunting down f society 3. What are Price and Whiterose and other certain characters actually up to. It adds a lot more layers
The slow pace is fine. The episodes being like..twice the length of a regular episode makes it feel a bit tougher to get into, especially since we don't necessarily jump ahead to some new point by the end of the episode, but it all works just as well as S1 worked imo, I'm really into it |

Another good ep
|
Coincidentally with not a single Elliott appearance (: Kinda shows how much weaker his storyline has been this season that I didn't even miss him this week (despite the HOPE that his story is about to get gud after last week). Whereas in S1 he was the main draw by far
It was pretty nice to have an episode really focus in on the side characters. I was kinda indifferent towards Mobley before but I like him a ton more now
Best sequence by far was the fsociety hacking interspersed with Angela singing Everybody Wants to Rule the World. God that was great. Had CHILLS |

THAT SHOOTOUT. That came outta nowhere. I turned my attention for half a second and suddenly the place lit up, I didn't see that coming at all. Loved the Dom/Whiterose scene. Dom became way more likable in this one
Angela's old doofus boyfriend was hilarious:
"Tell me the truth, did you talk to the FBI?"
"No. Yes."
Joanna ordering that guys death was a great moment. Predictable but really well done, watching it unfold was pretty brutal, especially after her cold line about his final moments right before going back to singing to her baby. What a great character |

RLY loved the sitcom at the start. My dad and I were cracking up, especially Elliot's bewildered wide-eyed expression the entire time. Apparently the USA commercials were also in that style which is hilarious, I watched it On Demand so I didn't have that :(
Episode was good. Liked Ray's monologue about the dog, he's a weird character. I still think its funny that they got Craig Robinson to play him
Angela's stuff was good, especially when she saw the dude who spied on her in S1, how awkward. Everything at the FBI office was tense and really well shot. Curious to know why Dom approached her
I think I'm through the boring stretch that was complained about. I can sorta see it but it was all still really entertaining to me. Might've just been because I binged this stretch instead of watching weekly. They've got two more episodes and overall probably quite a few more hours due to the longer run times, so they're definitely taking more time to tell the story but it's all still highly enjoyable to me. Even when there might not be much advancement the acting/directing/music always make up for it imo |
