I'll probably wait until it's on sale again. Target usually does the best deals since they're butt buddies with EA.

The Bay has the best Sims deals. But for ts4 it's enough of a hassle that I'm trying to stay honest.

I've been spending a lot of money lately on things a lot more pointless than games I'll actually play, so I really was going to buy it and declare my wallet done for the next few weeks. But 40 is still more than a lot of my combined bad financial decisions and somehow even less practical.

I think I might just play Sims 3 for a while to scratch my Sims itch. I have so many things I still never did in it.

Hi. I recently started playing this again for no obvious reason and decided to get the Business expansion because I hate myself.

The amount of content they add for $40 is a crime. Going to work with your Sims is something people have wanted (done right) for a long time, but it's basically a hybrid of the date/party system that the game already has and Ambitions. I only have done the cop one so far and it is literally a watered down Detective ambition from TS3. Find clues that don't correlate to each other in anyway and this somehow gives various descriptions where you can arrest someone for... something they did. Huh? It makes zero sense and I was pretty much tired of it after "solving" one case. The cop's kid is a logic prodigy so I'm thinking I'll try him out in the doctor one when he's older but I'm not holding my breath on it being any better.

Game is still buggy as all hell and even with an expansion feels super basic and bare. I was looking through all the packs on Origin and it was blowing my mind. This game was just released a year and a half ago and it already has EIGHT stuff packs for $10 a pop, two of them are $20. One them is centered around the fact that you can make popcorn and watch a movie on a projector. Holy fucking shit, EA. Why?

The sims 4 is dumb!! I think the best one was sims3. I also was stupid and spent like, 50 bucks on expansion packs a few months ago (business and... i forget the other thats how pathetic it was haha). It is extremely limited.

I liked the Sims3 where you could customize every piece of clothing, furniture, ect. That was absolutely AMAZING and my favorite thing they ever did. The fact they took that out and made the game more basic again is just... ridiculous. Sims3 was the best so far just based on the amount of changes they made compared to sims 2.

The only nice things about TS4 are the building tools and the character creation system. Once you've created your character and built the backbone of your house, there's not much left to do. You can't do the fun TS3 decorations and customization, the gameplay is boring, the traits are severely limited and basic, and the lack of open world, custom lots and story progression takes away most of my favorite ways of playing.

The only problem is TS3 eventually devolves into a glitchy nightmare, and TS4 is stable.

I keep hoping they'll do a customization overhall for TS4

I feel like playing TS3 now but I don't know if I really feel like finding/downloading it all over again and dealing with its problems.

update: I compromised with myself and decided to subscribe to Origin Access to get the TS3 bundle it has and see if I really want it, since I'd been thinking about it anyway and $5 for access to like 17 games and 10% off purchases is a pretty good deal

There's a restaurant game pack coming out like next week. I have yet to even try running a store (i bought Get To Work a while back) and never bothered with it in the older games, so I don't know if I'd want to try running a restaurant in Dine Out.

I haven't played the game since buying it at a Black Friday sale, but I saw an article today that there's going to be gender neutral clothing options and hairstyles. makes me want to try playing it again.

The new update is great! You can also change voices, toilet use method, body type, and if they can get pregnant or get others pregnant. And you can change it at any time!

I saw a screencap and I'm currently re-installing the game to try it out now!

I think it's great. There are transgender people so why can't there be transgender sims? I can't say yet how often I'll make transgender Sims but I like that all content can be used on all sims.

Also sidenote. After I saw the news on Tumblr, I quickly fired up Origin to try it out... Only to find out that my account had been hacked in april, my email and origin ID changed. I found out that they didn't change my password so with a bit of effort I logged into the account to see they'd changed my security questions and the language to russian. I had to spend a fucking hour trying to fix it.

Although the support lady was really nice and helpful. I know people like to shit on EA customer service but she was great and got everything fixed fast.

Is there a switch to turn this on or is it all available from the same screen? Cause I kind of have a bad feeling that randomly generated and aged up sims are going to end up fucking weird cause of this.

I think I read that NPCs follow the original binary, and from what I saw of it you have to go in and change the gender specifics manually. I doubt they would switch with the randomly generated sims. I think the purpose is just to have the option, not to force a nonbinary utopia on people who don't want it.
