One of my favorite subplots in season 4 was the program that Cutty's involved in, with Namond. I know it's sort of OBVIOUS but I really like how these nontraditional educational methods affect these kids.

how did you feel about the ending/final season in general?
|
i was pretty disappointed with the actual season arc, because the newspaper characters were so thinly developed and unsympathetic, but the final three episodes and their resolution of series-long storylines were so good. |

Agreed, the ending is pretty much the only thing that made S5 worthwhile (I guess besides Omar's death). Michael killing Snoop, Michael/Dukie's last scene, and Marlo's "MY NAME IS MY NAME" outburst are all some of my favorites. And that last shot |

i don't think season 5 is bad or anything. the main story is a bit silly, the SUBJECT is thinly drawn, but pretty much every subplot is satisfying. it works better on rewatch because the serial killer story doesn't OVERPOWER everything else. |

agree with all that plus

1 thing I hate in general about final season of shows that this one did is it felt like there were a lot of forced cameos from previous seasons. Little scenes here and there to get an update on someone we haven't seen for two or three seasons.
The other thing is I felt like a lot of the killings in the last season forced to just end somebody's story and give them a glorious finale. Oz did that for the whole last season and I didn't like it because of that. |

Includes spoilers past this episode:
|
- looool Donut crashing into every single car possible
- And then that douchebag police officer doing the same thing. I hate that guy
- He broke Donuts' fingers WHAT A DICK. I hope he gets killed
- Little Kevin gonna get GOT! Better him than Randy
- Namond not being able to reach any family is the only time I've felt bad for him or liked him
- I love the call back to Poot fucking that STD riddled chick
- Bodie hasn't had much to do this season. Seems like it'll get good now that he knows he sent Little Kevin to his death. I'm guessing this is what sets him on his path to getting killed. I dunno if that happens this season or next
- PR8ZGOD
- loool Herc's about to look so stupid again
- "You leave my son THE FUCK alone". Jesus. I HATE Namond's mom
- Damnnnn Chris killing Bug's dad was great. I've been waiting for Chris to get some more characterization or a backstory and that was a really good way of doing it. I'm also just now realizing that he actually was pretty gentle in all of his other murders like he promised to be, in comparison to this one at least. And Michael's look to his mother at the end, heavy shit |

Watching 4x11 now. At the part when Carcetti goes around to different places and informs them of issues but won't say where. I loved this line:
"I understand Mr. Mayor, but you have to understand, we have over 9,100 hydrants."
"And one of them is leaking!" *walks away*
