I really enjoyed the end. |
| I was expecting them to get lost in the maze and never be found, kind of like Prisoners. |
Liked how it ended and looking forward to season 2.
PS. That final chase in the weird devil's dungeon was creepy beyond believe.

An amazing show. I liked some of the earlier episodes and dialogue.
Rusts religion talks. A lot of his scenes with the Detectives in 2012. The end with Reggie Ledoux in the field as an ominous figure with the gas mask was one of my favorite ending scenes ever. And of course the ending with the 6 minute shot was awesome.
I guess I like shows with twists but the ending did wrap things up nicely and I'm glad they didn't shoehorn anything in and the writer had a solid vision for what would happen.
All in all glad I watched it. :) | | |

aw fuck no.....finished season 1. that was really awesome...that format is promising.
the show was awesome, the ending was really satisfying. matthew mcwhatever "turned into" a great actor apparently. gottaa see dallas buyers club at some point.
woody is just auto-awesome no matter what he does. the two worked well together...would like to see another duo on the screen working a "mysterious" case or something. something like bruce willis...and uhm....forest whitaker...or so....ya know what I mean!

what more do you want me to say?
cinematography was top notch.
acting was really good.
I liked the non-linear storytelling approach.
i liked the long takes as we all do.
some of it was a little slow for me though, and Rust went over my head sometimes.
other than that it was a great mini-series that i wouldnt watch again. | --------------------

| Top of the Lake is one of the shows I've been meaning to watch and I like the idea of casting Elisabeth Moss. My other choice would be Jessica Chastain. She was the first person to come to mind, but I haven't given it much thought since then. |
