Man that was rough. I did enjoy Kenzie as a character but I thought Charlie killed it this game, and I thought his FTC was pretty solid. Kenzie definitely sold herself well. Can’t believe Q voted for her after she told him that he couldn’t make up his mind.
Do feel for Liz too since she would have ended then all at F3.

Tbf, I think the edit really wanted to support a crushing Charlie loss and a brutal Maria betrayal. Feels like they worked overtime to show 70% of the strategic game from Charlie’s pov so it all would hit a lot harder at the end. If they wanted to lessen the blow of his loss they would’ve spread some of that out
I’m just glad they gave Kenzie a hefty edit to combat that. Could’ve easily been another Natalie White situation or Michelle unexpectedly winning over Aubry. I think I saw Kenzie had the best or second best edit for a female winner (90 minute episode asterisk though). She still only got five finale confessionals though which is crazy low for a winner, like third lowest

RIP the Sia prize:
https://ew.com/the-sia-survivor-prize-has-finally-come-to-end-8653952
"Survivor is officially bringing the Sia Prize to a triumphant end!” Feels weird that Probst phrased it this way when he announced it. Survivor is bringing it to an end?? I assumed Sia decided no more but this sounds like the producers decided they didn't want it happening? Seems odd and unlikely though? I dunno
Either way, poor Ben | |

Maria said she regretted voting for Charlie a few weeks after the fact, then changed her mind again, and later came up with even new reasons why she voted the way she did. Sounds like something was said to her at Ponderosa that got her off of voting for the person who she played the game with from day 1, a game that was basically her game, only much better.
Ben also said he thought Charlie was going to win it all and took him to the end anyway. So that probably means he woulda broke the tie for Charlie to win had Maria voted for her bff out there? |
I saw the interview where Charlie said Maria told him she regretted her vote a couple weeks after the vote but then, post finale she told him she was going to give a new reason for voting Kenzie in her exit press. Like she just doubled down. Cannot respect her and never liked her. :P
Ben did confirm he would've voted Charlie in a tb (I think he said this in his Us interview?)
idk, I agree with Charlie that whoever gets the jury votes is the "deserving winner" cause that's how it works but it was just Maria being bitter imo. Charlie also had a cute tik tok video where he sang about her betrayal. I love Charlie and he's very eloquent but he makes it clear he can't really trust Maria since she has gone back and forth on whether she felt she should've voted for him or not. If you can't trust someone, how can you be their friend??
I did think the edit went out of its way to add in some really cute Kenzie comments in different spots (spicy, etc) to help paint her in a positive light as the winner. And, in Venus's exit interview, she said Charlie made a mistake in not trusting her so I read into that thinking he may lose.
That's all of my sleuthing.
As far as next season, I didn't really pay attention to the promo on finale night, but saw the cast later and I'm excited that Aysha (pronounced Asia) is playing. She's a regular podcast correspondent on RHAP and she's a really sweet person from what I can tell. I hope she does well. Also LOVE Jon Lovett and I'm excited to tell my Swiftie friend that he's going to be on because she's the one who introduced me to his podcast: Pod Save America. I need to start watching that more again.

But her and Hunter are good pals these days!
It's all such a mess, it's so funny

It seems like everyone but Hunter hates Venus. Her beef with Q is wild and I don’t understand it at all. | "All this from a slice of gabagool?" |
