I've been reading and kept my comments to myself, but I have to ask...When did the whole taking turns paying thing start? I never once paid for a date with dh or anyone else for that matter. :x lol | A lesson without pain is meaningless. That's because no one can gain without sacrificing something. Yea I've never gotten paid for! What is this crap. Granted I've never had a really serious relationship but the whole take turns would of surely saved me a couple hundred bucks by now! | "So, uh, what are we saying here? yeah I'm fine to pay most of the time but my girlfriend always insists to share the load. But to be honest payment and these things are really just a second thought nowadays, we don't have a discussion one just whips out the wallet.
I've never used to like it when girls wouldn't even offer to pay, I mean on dates in the beginning I would always pay but just a offer to pay was something I would like from a girl.
It's almost as bad as when you let someone in in traffic (which I always do) and the bastards dont wave a thanks. show manners you prick.

Girls need to at least offer, and occasionally INSIST.
Chivalry is not dead, but the economy is. Guys can't pay for everything every time and they usually don't want to. It makes us feel like the girl is invested in us, cares about us, and likes us if they will grab the bill every so often.
