Yeah people can contribute as much or as little as they want, that's why the voting for who dies thing works really well. If someone isn't contributing much then they'll likely be killed, unless the bits that they contribute are good enough

So I'm thinking next week could be a good time to start solidifying how we'll do this and getting it going. I have a bit more time now
I'm gonna start finalizing shit next week probably, but since I'm bumping this now, feel free to bring up any ideas for it that you might have, or solutions to any of our questions
I'll do a final interest check next week as we get ready a bit more and then I'll get a solid list

I joined this site for this so count me in.
I vote for user created characters, just because I think the story in general would be a lot more interesting. Like for example, I'm a boring teenager so writing about myself wouldn't be as fun or entertaining as writing about someone that I've made up. It doesn't even really have to be alias if that's too tricky. Everyone can just create the character they want and write it out that way.

Eh, I'd still advise that it be alias, if only because even when it's more or less obvious who's RPing who, it tends to be a lot easier to focus on the actual character when you're not thinking of them as Rob or Matt or Leos, and thinking of them as Steve or Jacques or Brunhilda - especially when voting is involved. |

OKAY. Time to address some of the questions we have
- It looks like people would prefer creating characters over playing themselves or fellow FE'ers. That probably works best and could be the most interesting. We'll go with that. If you can't think of a character, I can create some typical murder mystery archetype characters and send you one.
- On site, or off? If we do it off site, we can all create profiles for our characters and post our segments under our alias, so no one knows who is writing for who and all that. HOWEVER, I think I would rather do it on site tbh, to keep bringing more activity to FE. If it's on FE, we have three options from what I can tell.
1. Everyone posts their segments in character but from their profile. Everyone will know who is writing for who
2. Everyone sends the moderator (me) their segments, and I would post them for everyone. That means no one would know who is who. That way may not work great though because I can't be around all day to post everyone's, and it's more fun when it comes from the people themselves
3. Everyone creates a secondary account on FE as their character. This way we can create avatars of our characters too. You would have to switch back and forth between your account and your main whenever you wanted to post a new segment, but that isn't difficult. Keeps up the aliases well. It'd be nice to keep those dummy accounts only posting within the subforum for this too. I can create a member group and mask for all the dummy character accounts so it's clear, and can have only those accounts be allowed to post in the forum. Then when they die I can change them to a deceased group
What do you guys think of those options? I think option 3 could be the best
- Pacing. We can have like, two days for each in story 'day' where people post as few or many segments as they'd like. At the end of the second day, voting can begin. Or we can stretch it out if we feel the need to and give people more time to write, like throughout the weekday, with deaths occurring each weekend. This would stretch it out for a long time though
