This 'Russia distraction' quite possibly led to this 'piss ignorant pres' taking office.

Despite what many people might say, I really like this season. I knew I'd love it when I saw Trump and the rest of the cast. It would be like back then when the Bush clan, Cheney and Wolfowitz and alike were the showrunners for a couple of seasons. Those were the days man, entertainment at its best. It seems they're not trying too hard this season, but it comes across naturally so I'm cool with it. the overall story arc doesn't surprise, but I like the fact that it's fast paced. Trump is certainly a character who's got his flaws, but exactly those he plays off so well. considering how often he gets into trouble he certainly found his way to get through, and he re-invents himself all the time. just when you thought he ran out of aces to pull from his sleeves, he still pulls a new dozen out of his ass or somewhere else. as I said before, the season started with a twist and I knew there'd be much more to come. thus I really gotta say it is a solid 7.5/10 for me, so far.

I agree that it is a "distraction" but not that it *should be a distraction. A foreign power helping with an election used to be something the right screamed about (look no further than all the "China helped Bill Clinton" bitching that went on forever). In this case, there actually seems to be direct help, which used to be considered treason. But in the end, this will just be a "distraction", because the right will back Trump no matter what and the left will scream treason and nothing will happen.

Of course the media is going to do whatever gets them the most cash. They are a business after all, they'd be dumb to do otherwise.

That said, it seems that there are more 'distractions' than ever. If it was just one or two things, maybe people could focus and figure out what the hell happened, but when it's one or two things every week, there is no time to figure out what just happened before having to figure out what the hell is currently happening.

I'll give the administration props, as it's an amazing blitzkrieg strategy.

It's not contrarian. It's an obvious business model. I don't blame the media for running a profitable business. I blame "we the people" in general for being so easy to sell.

The way I see it, an investigation is being performed. If there is proof of treason, he will have it leveled at him. If not he won't. According to lots of sources, and even more of the general public, there is already proof enough to convict. That's obviously not true or the dems would be deep frying his ass in hearings by now.

Don't get me wrong, I fully expect the Gov't to waste a bunch of money trying to do that whether the evidence bears it out or not. In 2 years it will happen. If not sooner.
