No--ok, I phrased that really poorly. I didn't mean to say "quota" I meant to say caps. Like they cap the number of Asian people who can be in a party at one time. It's really gross.

Guys the Bay Area is not a wasteland. It's wonderful. I just gotta stick up for my home.

The food is great, the weather is good, there's a ton of hiking, etc.

Unless you own Google or Facebook, the Bay area is only great for visiting (when other people are paying for it). I spend about a week every year at a conference at the Moscone Center, and really enjoy the city, but always leave and am reminded I could never live there.

I lived in SF proper for three years and I really have no desire to ever move back. I love going home to the Bay and visiting and seeing friends in SF, but it's such a bubble and really doesn't feel like real life. I'm about to move back, just while I apply for jobs on the East Coast, and I'm looking forward to it, but yeah, I don't know. I love it and it's home but SF is becoming a completely difference place--it's become really douchey with all the tech bros moving in and I think it's taken a lot of the character away from the city, sadly.
