Unless Trump is going to buy the coal himself, coal is never coming back. Natural Gas is way cheaper to extract, refine, and use. You'd think a shady businessmen like Trump would actually know this basic rule of business.

Trump has been a terrible businessman for a long time and likely thinks all we need is more coal to save our economy.

Granted, we still use a lot of coal for electricity generation- about 1/3 of our electricity is from coal, though this is declining.
