I HATE the new mercy. It sometimes takes 30 seconds to kill more than one person. Then a res happens over and over and over. It sucks.

I keep playing Mercy and forgetting that I can actually res people.

This is happening a lot ive been noticing.

30 sec seems like a long cool down in theory, but with what the ability is, it seems pretty powerful still. Especially in Mystery Heroes with multiple Mercy

tbf they shouldn't really be balancing things around Mystery Heroes (: But I agree it's annoying even in the main game. I actually preferred the old Mercy to this

Just got 2nd in death match with Widow. I'm happy.

That's what I meant by it seemed really good anyway. You kill one guy and mercy uses res, by the time you take another one down, she's bringing them back. It's really not fun.

My favorite is 3v3 with Mercy.

It's almost impossible to beat them because Mercy just runs and hides and revives and then disappears again.

Sounds like mercy in every game ever. Luckily it's not a whole team res, but 3v3 sounds annoying.

Unless they do 3v3 comp, I'm done with 3v3. Only fun with a full group but it's really tough if you have even one bad teammate.

I haven't really played too much to feel out the new mercy. I just attack the bitch whenever I see her.

But my goal is to stop playing the click and hold characters (mercy/symmetra/winston) and play with the characters requiring more skill lol. My ranking will drop and teammates will be pissed but I don't want to play mercy and winston anymore. My IQ/skill with those two characters are significantly higher than the rest, which is a disservice to the team when I need to switch.

SO, I'll work on Pharah and see where it takes me.

Honestly, Mercy is one thing, but it takes skill to play Winston decently, especially with different types of healers. He's tough. His weapon isn't hard, but knowing who to jump on, when to get in and out, all that stuff is tough.

I think most of the offensive heroes are the hardest to play, but good tanks are tough to come by.

True true. I'm def an aggressive Winston. I'd love to have a coordinated healer, esp Zenyatta. Give me the orb while I'm attacking the discord. That'd make my dream come true. Solo queuing doesn't really allow for much coordination. Just fingers crossed for better DPS than the other team.

When Rein was super meta, I loved tanking. It was like Rein and Winston could counter/solve most of the compositions from the other team, and it gave my team versatility in either diving or using barriers. But something about the meta now makes it uninspiring to play Winston. Or maybe I just don't want to be a one-trick pony.

I think another reason I'm trying to get good with Pharah is that it could handle hard Winston counters (Roadhog, Reaper, etc.) since Winston has to be all up close and Pharah can stay out of range.

I think the main thing with Winston is to not get greedy to kill. Do significant damage and trust team to help finish. Jump, barrier, melee, primary fire, weave in and out of barrier, barrier dissolves, retreat, repeat.

Do you play PC, or console? I play both. I play Xbox though. But gimme your details and we can play.

I main Zen and LOVE a good Winston who will get me those assists! :muscles:

Trick with Winston is definitely to know when to get in and get out. And deploying your barrier in good places for your team as well.

The issue I have with Winston is I don't feel like any of his abilities are for the team. His ult doesn't have any good combos, most Winstons hop ahead and drop the barrier to protect themselves leaving their team behind. I dunno...never saw Winston as a team pick, more to counter certain heroes and to hop on support.

But even as Zen, I can discord and fight a Winston. If they don't hop right on me, I can typically kill him or bring him down enough to make him hop away in fear.
