My sister's boyfriend plays Rugby, and he said he had a link to a live stream of his match today, so she wanted to watch it.
He gave her a link to a youtube video which contained another link in the description, which apparently led to the stream. What it came up with instead was one of those obviously bullshit pop up videos (obvious in hindsight anyway) which load so far then suddenly say you need to register to continue.
And naturally, to register, you need to enter your card details! (:
On every other occasion, I would have realized it was bullshit. But somehow, I didn't, and I entered my details like a moron. Maybe I had heatstroke.
Anyway, yeah...10 minutes later I was calling the bank to make my card invalid.
The dumbest part of this story is that I only decided to check reviews of the website (TzarMedia) out AFTER I completed the signup process. They have a 98% disapproval rating! | | |

A customer today was telling me about his computer BSODing a lot from age, but he said BSOD as "bee sod" and not just B.S.O.D. like individual letters, and I didn't realize what he was talking about at first because I'd never heard anyone say the acronym just as one word. | |
