Why do they always say Hulk is in phase one if it's not really apart of the MCU? Did they sorta just tack it on to build up their early roster or wut

Cause the cut scene in the movie is part of phase 1. the rest of the movie they pretend didn't exist | Rodney is a great guy. Oops, nevermind he's a terrible human being.
He likes his sandwiches to be Turkey and Swiss. Triangle cut. Let vern have his crust. Poison the part Rodney eats.

I honestly enjoyed the parts of The Hulk that I remembered. But I think Edward Norton was a big help to make it seem less like any other Marvel movie because he like re-wrote the whole script at some point.
But I'm glad he left and went to Wes Anderson so we could get Mark instead.

The fish out of water stuff in Thor WAS pretty fun, I agree. I wish there was even more of that
though I think that gets pretty overshadowed by how awful the humor was with Kat Dennings' character

Are we talking about the Edward Norton one or the 2003 one with the really strong special effect choices

The old one, it has terrible ratings but at the time I liked it, more than a lot of the other shitty superhero movies at the time

Yeah she was terrible. Every time she spoke I got two broke girls promo flashbacks. I thought they were gonna cram her down our throats even more but tbh she was barely in it, she only got a handful of lines so it wasn’t as bad as it could’ve been, it didn’t overshadow it for me. It helps that I’m watching it later and already know who Kat Dennings is so I knew to tune her out from be start. I didn’t even catch the mew mew stuff

I actually had zero idea that Thor and Loki weren’t actually brothers so that was a nice twist

What annoyed me the most in Thor Ragnarok is how wrong it is compared with Norse Mythology, at least you won't have that problem.
They got the not blood brothers part right though, Loki's basically a giant.

NEXT UP: The Incredible Hulk
pretty bad!
I don't have much to say about it really. It was just whatever. Captain America and Thor origin stories surprised me a bit, this one did not. It's wholly forgettable
Norton was fine. I don't particularly have a preference when it comes to Norton or Ruffalo tbh. I like Norton more as an actor, but I guess Ruffalo is a better Banner? Idrc. I sorta just wish Norton was in the rest of the MCU or Ruffalo had stared in this one, just for consistency sake
Tim Roth was also fine but I don't like reskinned villains. I guess his...spine sticking out was cool? That's about it. William Hurt, Liv Tyler...both just fine. BLAND acting really. Tim Blake Nelson is someone I like but he was horrible in this
I did like how they crammed all the exposition into the opening credits, that was a nice tough. We had scene that story recently with the Eric Bana version and everyone knows the Hulk story anyway so it was smart to skip over that while setting up the stakes with his opening credit incident. That was really the only thing I liked overall
