1. Hated Townie doesn't make any sense as a role in a game with basically permanent plurality.

That's bullshit. It is very common to lynch an inactive day 1. And not being on the site doesn't mean they're ever going to come on the site and play. That makes no sense. I'll lynch an inactive D1 again and again. Or Chris.

Okay idk what your #2 is so maybe you're right. #1 makes no difference - there's generally plurality in FE games. We've had hated townies before. Just because there's plurality doesn't mean there'll never be a hammered lynch.
