"Let the games begin!" Black Friday declared. "Now start marching."
The six tip-toed their way across the bridge slowly as they carefully attempted to avoid the loose stones. Curtis wiggled his way straight through, too light to wedge any of the cobblestones loose.
It didn't take long for disaster to strike. Brian paused for a moment to shake his ass for some onlooking bunnies. "Dat doe ass doe", he said to himself as he continued to show off.
Brian was too distracted to see KC coming. The wolf walked straight into Brian and their combined weight crumbled the stone beneath them. The patch of bridge gave way and the two were left perilously clutching the edge and calling for help.
While Nofo, Rose, and Bryce continued walking across the bridge in strange patterns, Igor was the next to fall victim. "holy shit this is child's play" he said under his breath moments before a stone collapsed under his weight.
Nofo, still shell shocked from his previous bridge experience, attempted to fly across. As soon as he took off, Nofo bumped into Bryce mid-air and the two toppled to the ground. Nofo's feathery body fell off the edge and he was left danging by just his wing.
Rose and Bryce continued towards Black Friday. The two occasionally bumped into each other and braced for a collapse, but it never came. They continued. And continued. And continued.
The sun had set and Rose and Bryce were still walking in circles. Curtis, now safe and side on the other side of the bridge, sighed with impatience.
"HEY DO YOU MIND HURRYING IT U--"
-CRACK-
Bryce looked down under his talons just in time to see the stone begin to crumble beneath him. He looked straight ahead at Rose with a worried look before it gave way completely, sending Bryce straight down. Like the rest, he managed to catch the edge and dangled helplessly.
"HELP US!" everyone yelled in unison towards Rose. All five were left hanging in place, their grips on the stone beginning to weaken.
Rose didn't waste much time. She crept over to KC and pulled him up with her grubby raccoon hands.
"Oh cool." said Nofo as he watched. "How about the rest of us?"
Despite being in the same hole as Brian, KC decided to saunter over to Igor and help the large buck up instead. Igor approached Bryce and paid him the same courtesy.
While Rose, KC, and Igor made their way to Black Friday's side of the bridge, Bryce stood between both Brian and Nofo as they dangled in place.
"Save me, Barry!" Brian yelled out.
Nofo dangled silently, one single wing pointed outwards towards Bryce as a cry for help.
Bryce darted towards Nofo and the two connected wings. He lifted Nofo out of harm's way and back up onto the bridge.
"Nothing but love for THIS moderator!" Nofo exclaimed.
Luckily for Brian, he needed no help. He finally managed to lift his hind leg up high enough to catch the edge of the hole he was trapped in. He began to pull himself up when tragedy struck.
A sizable amount of dark, chocolate milk rained down seemingly out of no where. The milk splashed into Brian and coated the edge of the bridge. Brian felt his grip loosen as the stone became too slippery to grasp onto. The group screamed in horror as Brian's hooves slipped off the ledge completely.
Brian plummeted through open air underneath the bridge. One of the sharpened pikes jutting out of the ground skewered him from his doe ass up through his throat. Brian never hit the ground as his body remained lifelessly shish kebabed among the other rotting skeletons. Just another victim of Black Friday.
