i almost forgot to bring this up. i expect it will be a complex coding issue but i feel it is very much worth while.

so you read a post and write a reply, but during the time it takes you to write a reply someone else(or multiple people) submit a post before you submit yours. nobody likes it when this happens. the feature im suggesting is some kind of check to see if there are any new posts in the thread between the time you read the last post and the time you submitted your post.

of the top of my head i know that SMF 2.0.x support this feature so i know its possible.

I usually just open up add reply in a new tab and refresh the original before I submit.

Well I usually copy what i was going to type and refresh to see if anything was posted... but same jist.

another thing that i think will be less difficult. for the pictures to the left of the forums that are in color when there is a new post. can you make it so clicking that brings you to a list of all the threads with new posts in that forum?

yes i am mostly pulling stuff i like from SMF.

If you just want to see recently updated threads you can check the active topics list.
