The Assblasters took center stage in the arena first. As the large metal gate was thrust open, an Armanite sped across the arena much faster than the three were expecting, trampling them with its hooves and sending them skittering across the sand. Greaseface rose to his feet first and sprinted beneath the undead minotaur's legs, narrowly ducking its razor sharp tail attack. Greasface screamed as he ran, attempting to distract the beast long enough for Ahron and Malus to conjure up a plan. Ahron clambered up onto the distracted Armanite's back and pulled taught with a chain to try to choke it, but a slice across his back with the creatures tail sent him flying down into the sand. Malus, using the time Greaseface bought him, conjured up a celestial giant fire beetle that materialized between him and the Armanite. The beetle didn't seem like much, but the loyal creature gave its life fighting the Armanite and wounded it just enough so that The Assblasters could finish it off.

The Pack were thrust into the arena as The Assblasters were shuffled away by guards. A gigantic Cyclops stomped his way through the gate, swinging his club wildly and connecting with all three of Cyrillus, Randall, and Rara right off the bat. Rara lunged to her feet and conjured a large hawk that flew forth from her hand and dashed through the air at the Cyclops. While the fiend was distracted, Cyrillus enhanced Rara and Randall, giving Randall the courage and the strength to run ahead and tango with the Cyclops. When the beast attempted to bring his club down on top of Randall, Randall dashed to the left to narrowly avoid it. While Rara's hawk went to work pecking out the Cyclops' eye, Randall got beneath it and plunged his swords upwards through its loin cloth. The audience squirmed in their seats, some cheering, some disgusted. The Cyclops fell onto its back in the sand dead while the hawk continued to peck into its now mushy eye cavity.

The Cyclops corpse was dragged off as Rok, Khanarak, and Ordella were unbound and let loose into the arena. The three hid on either side of the main gate and got the jump on their opponent, a terrifying Basilisk. The reptile like creature screeched in pain as the three cut it up good the moment it stepped into the arena. Rok enhanced Khanarak and Ordella, allowing Khanarak the strength to slice through two of the Basilisk's eight legs. While the creature's thick, dark green blood spewed from its two severed limbs, Ordella closed her eyes and focused on casting a spell on it. When her eyes opened, the once mighty Basilisk was a mere half its size. While still formidable, it was no match for the three of them as they systematically removed its remaining six limbs and watched as it bled out in the sand.

As Rara's hawk flew free from the arena, proud of itself for helping and ready to go spend the rest of its life helping others in aid, it was blindsided midair and swallowed whole by a large Griffon. The half eagle, half lion monstrosity flew threw the air, casting its shadow down onto Hell's Belles who waited in the center of the arena below. Despite its aerial advantage, The Belles got the jump on the Griffon as it landed beside them. Lavina stood forth and enhanced the abilities of her two party members before flying upwards to draw the beast away from them. When the Griffon took flight and gave chase, a bold Canassa wrapped a chain around its neck and held onto it with all four hooves, flying through the air with the beast as it took off. Canassa felt her grasp begin to slip and braced for a deadly fall, when Faerora cast Reduce safely from the ground. The Griffon suddenly shrunk in size, and the weight of Canassa was enough to cause them both to plummet straight back down into the arena. Lavina swooped in just in the knick of time, catching Canassa as the Griffon landed hard on the sand with a splat, spilling gore and viscera onto the sand.

Sandor and Calius helped Murder Bunny to his feet, thrilled to see their companion with his head still attached to his shoulders. Their celebration as short live, as a massive Terrasque broke the metal gate down and charged into the arena. Murder Bunny, still woozy from his public shaming and near death experience, didn't react as quickly as he may have otherise, but Sandor and Calius got the jump on the creature and each delivered some blows. While Pastor Sandor got the beasts attention by waving his four arms around to distract it, Murder Bunny rose to his feet, gritted his teeth, and charged head first. The rejuvenated bunny met the Terrasque head on as it roared out, lunging into the beast's open gullet. The enormous Terrasque hardly seemed to care as it swallowed Murder Bunny whole. Calius, not ready to nearly lose his friend twice in one day, was quick to cast Reduce on the monstrosity. As it shrunk, it began to stagger in its movement and cough up bile onto the sand. While its skin was heavily armored, its insides were vulnerable. With its reduced size, Murder Bunny was able to make quick work of the Terrasques vital organs, backing away merrily at them. The beast fell onto its size as a knife plunged out from within its belly, sawing the flesh away and allowing a gore covered Murder Bunny to victoriously join his companions.

The Northerners were next up. Just as their chains were removed, a Bulgara was led into the arena by two guards. The ape slammed its fist down onto one guard and gave a swift kick to the other, whisking him off into the stands. The beast broke its chains and leapt up into the air, slamming down onto the sand beside the Northerners and sending them crashing onto the ground. Priggat, no match for beast of this size, quickly enhanced both Tuuluuwaq and Booberella before hiding behind a broken column, sending the occasional shuriken at his foe. Booberella was no stranger to casting Enlarge on herself, but this time unselfishly focused the spell on Tuuluuwaq. The bear grew twice is original size, allowing him to go toe to toe with the ape in a battle for the ages. While the Bulgara got a few good hits in, the large Tuuluuwaq was quicker on the draw and delivered a critical hit, carving the ape across its chest with his trusty sickle. The Bulgara's guts and internal organs spilled onto the sand as Tuuluuwaq's roar echoed throughout the stadium, even deeper than usual.

Finally, it was down to the Keepers of the Woods. The three were unchained and released into the center of the arena. When the gate opened, a slimy Behir slithered onto the wall beside the gate and quickly skittered across the curved wall of the arena, sizing up its prey. Hustus decided he had seen enough and cast his tired and true protection dome, tucking himself inside and wishing Marnu and Vandal the best of luck. Marnu leapt forward towards the serpentine creature to get its attention. It worked all too well as the Behir slithered down from the wall and used its twelve legs to quickly close the gap between it and Marnu. The frogfolk screamed for help to Vandal, but the giggle dog was no where to be found. As Marnu leapt past a pillar, the Behind was ready to strike, brandishing its poisonous fangs. Before it could lunge ahead, the large stone pillar beside it collapsed towards it, landing on its tail with a thud and pinning the snake in place. Vandal smiled and congratulated himself on a perfectly executed plan before going to town on the trapped Behir, carving it up and slicing it into sixths.


The crowd went mad with applause. Seven fights, seven great shows. King Lockhart was stunned from high atop his private balcony.

"No one ever survives the fighting pits. It cannot be!" he exclaimed as he clutched the arms of his chair and used them to lift himself up onto his feet.

"The Gods found them innocent. It is the only way." he muttered to himself. Behind him, Akmong Sus slowly began to slink away step by step.

"But if they are innocent...if they are being truthful and did not steal from me..."

King Lockhart's eyes went wide as he spun around to face Akmong, who was now sprinting away.

"GUARDS! SEIZE HIM!"
