True, though I like the peat in my single malts understated (I'm not a huge Islay guy because I feel the smoke overwhelms the character).
On of my favorite "inxpensive" single malts is Glenmorangie's port wine finished stuff. The smoke is there but muted by the port barrel aging. | How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat? |

I'll drink them, but they aren't my preference. I'm the same with beers made with smoked malts- they tend to be over done instead of subtle. | How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat? |
