Since there's been no cc to 317 it feels more likely they are town and not some mafia role with x shot abilities. It would be weird for there not to be a town watcher or tracker of some kind in a 23 person game.

The only thing I can think of is that this gift somehow went from Kat to Penner, unless I missed some important info somewhere.

What happened to the saying more information helps town?

I thought Penner said his was most likely not a gift

Maddie was explicitly told she received a gift today whereas the word “gift” was not used in mine. So this is why we should believe there’s two people handing stuff out.
