Been playing GTA IV last night and tonight while I wait for my new employers to remember that they hired me.

I'm enjoying it a lot more now that I can get used to the car controls and the ridiculous number of options.

Michelle is pissing me off. I take her for a bunch of dates, and then on the last time we go out, she keeps standing by the entrance, and refuses to follow me. So I go back and get her. She still refuses to follow me. I go get the car, park it in front of the door, and she still refuses to follow me. So I go give her a shove to get her moving, and she curses me out and leaves. Then every time I try to call her she tells me she's still pissed off at me for being such a dick earlier, so I assume the relationship's over, and go get an Import mission from Brucie. Cue Michelle, calling to ask me out on a date. I tell her sure, but then her house doesn't pop up on the map because I'm in the middle of a mission and apparently going to steal some rich guy's hot rod doesn't count as a real date. So then I call to cancel, and she gives me another earful about how irresponsible I am for not keeping my promises.

Suffice it to say, I went to the internet cafe and started trolling for a new girlfriend. Nobody treats Nico Bellic like that!

FIFA 14

I just bought Torchlight II.

FIFA 14 is pretty fun

It is, except for some of the 'first touch' errors... They totally kill it for me (I disabled it completely). Aside from that it's pretty good.

The Bravely Default demo for 3DS. It's fun, I guess.

I need to find a good console game to hook me in, I'm having a falling out with vidya again.

Same. Or at least, new games haven't interested me since, oh, 2011 or so. I try and play catch up with old classics I've skipped though.

gaming has never been as good as it's now, just sayin. yeah of course there's the classic everybody can digg and the gameplay was challenging and it wasn't all high tech artsy fartsy stuff you don't need or whatever but come on nowadays games are ambitious as fuck and the visuals are stunning. and while it's not the core of a game it's a very important part of it.

just thinkin of the final GTA 5 cutscene I've seen this morning...omg pure EPICNESS. when the credits started to roll I was like...WOW.

games. so underrated

I'm not sure it can be said it's better than ever, I'm more of a different times shouldn't really be compared kind of guy.

They're about as good as they've always been.

If games can be held up to some objective standard (which is an iffy concept in itself) than games have been pretty great lately. But for me personally, a lot of games have just gotten stale and nothing I've played in the last year has captivated me like in the past. Nothing I played in 2013 really wowed me. Most people know I'm a big Metal Gear Solid fan and even I don't think the new installment looks appealing at all.
