Now, if you actually read and responded to what I've said more than once, then you would know that I've argued about the fact that focusing on potential false allegations leads to unreported rapes being higher- after all, there is no deterrence value if the risk of getting caught is next to nothing (to add nothing about the guys like Brock Turner who get a slap on the wrist even *after* being convicted). There is zero remedy for the woman raped who goes to the system and is treated as the perp instead of the victim- after all, she's lying until proven true under the "false allegation" idea. But if you are falsely accused, you have numerous remedies, whether criminal or civil. You can make her wish she'd never done it by destroying her life forever- as the article showed previously, these false allegations fall apart.

So riddle me this- would you *ever* want to be the woman in this situation?
