I will give you three shiny pennies for all of your Magic cards. You can trust me that it's a fantastic deal.
Where do you sell your cards at Igor? I've got some MTG stuff I would like to sell. Well, I've got a lot of stuff, but only some stuff that anyone would want. And I'd rather not get like less than half of what they're worth at a local gaming shop. |
Sounds fair :P
And I sell on TCGplayer. You can sell almost any TCG on there. It's a really simple interface. Just make sure you follow their condition guide and grade properly. How old are your cards?

Not old in the sense of the whole timeline of the game. I have some random older stuff, nothing money, but I mainly started buying in around the original Zendikar block. Does TCGP take a cut of whatever you wind up selling for?

I've got some lands (a foil Unhinged Island, Expedition Watery Grave, and Marsh Flats being the main ones) people would probably want, other random things like a couple of Snapcaster Mages and a Liliana of the Veil, Karn. I think the last time I checked those were the most expensive things I had.
I built a Modern Merfolk deck but it's about the only thing I'd kind of want to hold on to because it's the only thing I ever see myself playing with again in the future.
The majority of my cards have never been played and are just in a binder. I was the kind of idiot who just liked buying the cards for the art and characters/lore vs. the actual point of the game.
I've got a ton of bulk commons/uncommons that I do really need to drop on an LGS to get rid of though. I bought like five boxes of BFZ alone hoping for expeditions and only got that stupid Watery Grave. |

Yup, TCGplayer takes a 11% cut + .50 on every order.
And nice, sounds like you have some good value. Didn't know you played. I used to play a while ago, I started around Shadowmoor and quit around Khans I think. Been playing a lot of Hearthstone instead since it's free and a lot of my MTG playing friends transitioned to it too.
I'd definitely recommend holding onto a deck just in case you ever just want to play some pick up games. It's pretty easy to go to a local gaming store or really any MTG event and find someone to play modern with.
Sounds like you kept them in good condition! They are easy to mail. You can buy some cheap sleaves and some top loaders (thick plastic sleeves). Put the card in the sleeve, but the sleeve in the top loader upside down (so if the card slides out it wont fall out of the top), tape the top, put it in a plain white envelope, stamp and that's it.
Bulk commons you should be able to easily get $3-5 per thousand. Any vendor will pay $3 and some pay $5. Probably only worth you're time if you have at least a few thousand. |

Ugh. Why did I volunteer to extend today at work. It's not like being at Disney where I didn't have to deal with annoying customers.

I'm like "I should get myself an Easter/survived 5 days in a row (including a 12 hour shift) of work present" but all I want right now are toys and video games, and the practical part of my brain is telling me I should save my money (the really impulsive part of my brain wants Splatoon or the Amazon version of the Twilight of the Republic bundle set for Disney Infinity 3.0 because it has light up Kanan).

Microsoft released an AI on Twitter which learnt from it's interactions with users.
It started off as an impersonation of a typical 16 year old girl, but a mere 24 hours after it was launched it became something very different....
What did they expect to happen?!
