I needed new glasses but I couldn't afford new frames and new lenses so I had the new lenses ordered and put in my old frames. The eyeglass place ended up breaking my frames trying to put the lenses in, so I got brand new frames for free as an apology.

My dad is on the ER because of complications from his surgery. His blood pressure is really low. I mentioned that Nancy Reagan died, and that started him on a rant about politics and the Reagans. His pressure is back up.

I thought Nancy Reagan was already dead, so I was surprised about the news.

Yesterday, this lady asked if we gave military discounts and I said we didn't and she went "Whyyyy?" in such an annoying voice and like just saying that would somehow get me to give her a discount, and I was just like "I'm not sure, but there's a survey you can fill out and if enough people request it, they'll probably add one." But like omfg I don't fucking know why they don't. Why would I know? I'm not corporate. And then she gave me her work email for her purchase history thing and was like "Yeah we both work for the government" and it was a post office email and inside I was like "So the fuck what??" I don't understand these people. She also told me that Walmart and Trader Joe's had us beat because they took military discounts, and like Walmart ok we compete with them, but Trader Joe's has nothing in common with us.

My dad got transferred to the big hospital where he originally had his surgery so we're spending the day down here waiting to see what's going on. He's sleeping right now so I'm in the waiting room with my mom and grandma.

So far my grandma has ranted about adjusting her thermostat, how she hated Nancy Reagan, the neighbor moving out, the time she had to give someone a ride back in 1973, the girl from the ER last night having Bell's Palsy, how the "colored girl" in the other room has nice braids, the time I got my appendix out, my aunt's Florida vacation, and her leg hurting.

We've only been in this room for 10 minutes.

I'm on my lunch break hoping I don't get asked to stay late since one of the closing cashiers called out. I like having money, but I've had a headache all day.

I wasn't paying attention as my grandma was driving us back home until she asked me why she didn't recognize any of the exits here. Turns out we went am hour in the wrong direction and are in the middle of the state. Just passed a horse and buggy. The only other traffic is a single logging truck.

Went to Starbucks this morning because I was sleepy as fuck, the barista called "Coffee for the mighty Thor", MFW :jango:
