Malcolm in the Middle is great. I don't really think there was ever a dip in quality as the show went on. Some of the characters weren't as good (early Dewey > later Dewey) but overall it stayed really funny. Any Hal-centered episode is awesome.

Man, I was hoping I was watching them in order since they aren't all on DVD (fucking hate that any show that uses real music gets fucked over on this front - see the Drew Carey Show) but it looks like IFC has randomly started back from the early seasons. I was up to where Francis was at the dude ranch (RIP Otto) and now he's back at the military school (did the actor that played Spangler ever recover from trying to blow his own brains out?). I loved the crazy old guy that bunked with Francis in Alaska.

Actually I was past the dude ranch, the last one I saw before this morning was the first part of the two-parter where Lois is having the new baby. And then they never played the second part.

Whoa, I never even knew that about the Spangler guy. And coincidentally I didn't even realize he was on Seinfeld until a few weeks ago when I was watching some of the episodes with him in it. I always liked Francis' adventures even though they did seem disconnected from the rest of the family. The Alaska stuff was probably my favorite.

Last I checked Malcolm in the Middle is all on Netflix so you could watch it all there.

I was never crazy about the Frances stuff either. It just seemed like a totally different part of the show when he was in Alaska or the dude ranch.

John Dies at the End

Was... weird. I guess it was okay. Maybe I would appreciate it more if I read the story/book.

Also I've been tuning in and out of the Walking Dead marathon. They're up to the last aired episode right now. Dreading the beheading.

I just watched Any Given Sunday and Jerry Maguire. Loved both of them, great films.
