So I had my interview and the guy that interviewed me during the second part was like "Don't say you're okay doing this stuff and then it turns out you're not" and implied that they were trying to get rid of some people who were not cut out for the job, and in my head, I was like "I'm gonna try, man."

And now I have 24 hours to get blood drawn for the drug test and I'm annoyed they don't just do a swab test. I probably sabotaged myself when I answered "No" on a personality test when it asked if I always told the truth (I was being honest), and then picked "1-2 years" when it asked how long I planned to stay with the company. But one of the managers that interviewed me during the first part sounded like they'd probably hire me and she wanted to ask me questions about Disney World. The other girl interviewing me looked and sounded familiar but I couldn't place her and I didn't recognize her name.

My dad has made the same joke about how if he wins the lottery, he is going to buy a presidential candidate 7 times today. Now my grandma is telling me it. I'm holding on to the lottery tickets and if we win I'm not telling them.

As someone that does hiring/firing as part of their job. Don't fucking say you don't always tell the truth, that's a huge red flag. Also, 3-5 years probably would have been better than 1-2 years.

Seriously though, if you want to get a job just fucking lie.

People are going to judge your personality and face to face interaction a lot more than a test or anything you write down on an application BUT if you say that you don't always tell the truth and that you don't plan on being there all that long, that could be the deal breaker if its between you and like one other person they like almost as much.

Just tell them that when you said you planned on being there for 1-2 years, that was the only time you've ever lied in your life. Problem solved. :P Sorry, that didn't help at all.

Yeah, that was stupid of me. I think I picked it because it was so vague and I was sleep deprived, so my mind went illogical and was like "In this capitalist society, it's impossible to always tell the truth" and clicked and then was like "Fuck wait. Now they'll think I'm lying on this whole thing." But the test was also mainly about drug use and theft, not one of the tests that tries to catch you with 5 versions of the same question, and that threw me off.

I wouldn't blame them if they didn't go for me after seeing that or if they called and were like "Uh, can you explain this bit?" or whatever.

I got my older brother wireless earbuds for Christmas. He gave them back to me today telling me they didn't work and he had another set around his neck. I don't know whether to be mad, or just not care because now I have wireless ear buds.

Not technically for Circuit City, but whatever same thing. It seems like everyone drug tests these days. Except Disney. Disney did not drug test me at all... even though if I had a license, I could've driven trucks full of expensive costumes (although if you mess up while driving their stuff, they'll ban you from driving).

I think the test only looks for like weed and hard drugs. The interviewers asked if there was anything they should be aware of and I was like "Uh... nothing that would come up on a drug test" which probably sounded sketchy, but I figured they meant like legal stimulants that sometimes set off tests and didn't want to explain that I take an antidepressant and I'm on birth control.
