Award shows are a joke.

However he does do more fact checking than actual news more often than not, but that's because the news here have become entertainment.

Even the PBS News Hour has gotten pretty weak lately. I miss Gwen Ifill.

"Lahren demanded staffers heat up her 'butt warming pad' in the microwave before every show, those sources said. 'She expected to be treated like a queen,' one source said, referring to Lahren’s butt pad demands as 'dehumanizing' to her staff, adding: 'To demand they warm your butt pad is absurd.'

Lahren was known for yelling and cursing at staff and makeup artists. She often singled out one of the two makeup artists working for The Blaze, yelling at and embarrassing her, even in front of guests. It got to the point where Lahren refused to work with one makeup artist."

The Blaze savagely ending Lahren's career bit by bit.

In Igor's defense, John Oliver literally won an Emmy (or Golden Globe? One of the two) for investigative journalism. He's not just a comedian.

when oliver was part of the 'daily show', they won several emmy awards for writing and one for a special. exactly zero for journalism, especially investigative journalism. where are you getting your facts?

Oliver got a Peabody that recognized the satire show often had better investigative journalism than most news shows. That is probably what is being thought of.
