Did an QUICKIE for starters!

Reaper Of The Dead @ 9/6/2020 21:49
Old pickaxe

Patrick @ 9/6/2020 21:49
A shovel

Thought some tools would make good little scatter pieces that I can place around wherever. Just foam and bbq skewers carved down and painted up

Haven't made anything in a bit but today I whipped up one of my favorite things yet. I wanted to take one of the first things I made back in December and redo it, so I chose an abandoned WELL

Posted Image

The old one is on the left..obviously. I just needed some basic well for our first session and made that quick. The one on the right I made earlier today. Very happy with it!

Another fun one for experimenting with new ways to do stuff. The rocky base is a wine cork that I threw in a blender and the water is hot glue and clear nail polish to give it a shine

Made some quick gore/corpse markers just now. They're used to replace enemies when theyre killed instead of having their awkward looking sideways bodies hovering above the ground. Makes it easier to move the remaining minis around too

Plus they look nice and gross. Messily made with just hot glue and paint swirled together. The stand in for intestines is just a red wire. Clear nail polish over the whole thing to make it look extra gooey and wet

That's really clever and cool looking. How do you keep up with what loot which dead thing has? Or do you just use a loot table?

Wow! Awesome job on everything. I love the amount of detail you put into each piece.

aaand another quickie I made just now. An iron door made out of just cardboard and paint. I like making these smaller bits just as much as the more complicated ones like the well from a few days ago

aaand back at it after a break due to the move

Tried something new again. I got these minis with an otherwise useless and forgotten gamestop giftcard awhile ago, they came in grab bag randomized boxes. There were these three creatures that I liked and plan on using soon, but the bases were so boring

Posted Image

Decided to try mini basing for the first time. Here's a lil step by step slide

Spoiler+

Rocks are just chopped up wine corks. Black sand from the dollar store for the ground base. Brown is painted brown, rocks are grey. Ground and rocks go through various lighter dry brushes and then its all brought down by slobbering thin black paint over everything. Grass flocking to finish it:

Really fun and simple. Definitely gonna base all my 3d minis going forward
