So with the new update special NPCs have changed.
Before you had 5 days a special npc would show up (weekends was reserved for kk and Daisy Mae)
And every week you would get guarunteed Sahara, Kicks and Leif and the other 2 slots were random
So you had a 2 in 5 chance of randomly seeing Redd, Label, Gulliver, CJ, Flick etc.
So while you'd always see Leif for his like 2 bushes he sells you might miss Redd for weeks.
NOW all 5 five slots are random. So expect to see harder to find villagers more often.

Same. I got the original painting, and then one fake painting and nothing since. I won't be too upset if the art portion of my museum sucks but hopefully they make an alternative way to get the art then just from Redd.

You can also get art from your villagers through the mail but that's just as unlikely as anything and they can send you fakes through the mail
