Ahoda - Smokey Robinson and The Miracles "Tears Of A Clown"
- Classic song obv. Can't go wrong with Smokey Robinson. Nothing more need be said.
Merc - FM Belfast "Underwear"
|
We're running down the street in our underwear
We're running up the hill, it's over there |
So emotional, I cried when I heard this lyric. These guys are snowmen but they named themselves after a place in Ireland. What's that all about Merc? I don't like this btw, fuck you.
Spin - Cake "I Will Survive"
Oh here we fucking go. The worst cover song in history. The singer sounds like he is on Prozac and he can't sing in time. Calling it singing is a stretch tbh. The guitar tone makes me sick...what the hell is that solo? The only saving grace: the bass is pretty damn good.
There is a reason I have a special hatred for this song: years ago a band I was in was insistent on covering this. I was totally against it and I eventually got my way...but damn it was a hard fight.
Curtis - Reptar "Phonetics"
Me - "These guys sound Jamaican"
*Look them up on google* - They're a bunch of pasty white guys
What the fuck.
Hate this singing style lol. Piano is pretty cool, sounds like a Kinks song to start with. Overall this song makes me feel empty inside.
Lamps - Gatlin Elms "Locked Doors"
hmmmm, sounds like Brian Eno in places which is deffo a positive, but I can't offer more praise than that. It would be better without the vocals.
Sock - Under the influence of giants "Mama's Room"
Oh, this was good until the chorus. Then it transformed into a Maroon 5 song. Sad!
Maddie - Shakey Graves “Roll the Bones”
Did this guy have a stroke at some point or is he singing like that on purpose? Seriously though, is he short tongued or something?
Otherwise, a nice country song
Boc - Sleigh Bells "As If"
Christ this is loud. And horrible. 2.43 seconds....dunno if I can make it...
Update: That instrumental in the middle is the worst thing I've ever heard hahahah....
Havo - Casting Crowns "Lifesong"
If you take the vocals away this sounds like the kind of music a corporation would use on an inspirational advert.
Christian - Kathleen Edwards "Run"
This is alright I guess. Sounds a bit like First Aid Kit. Speaking of which, why hasn't Herm participated in this yet?
Wikey - Peter, Paul & Mary "Where Have All The Flowers Gone"
Best song on the playlist

Doesn’t everyone know you should never google image a band or artist. It never leads to anything good

This was my least fav playlist by far. I was pretty drunk when I listened to it but I don't think sobriety would change my opinion.
