RHCP are a mixed bag. They have some great songs and some really annoying ones. Their cover of Steve Wonder is classic. Flea is also a classic funky bassist. I've enjoyed a few of their more recent songs as well, like:



Also, the classic Wil Farrel/Chad Smith drum off was fucking hilarious.

R.E.M. my wife doesn't like them, so I don't listen to them much anymore but I like their classic college radio stuff ("Driver 8" is one of my favorites from them). I feel they kind of jumped the shark after Automatic for the People. (side note: If I want to annoy my wife, I pull an Orange Crush out of the fridge and start singing that song).

TBQH, I've never really listened to Sublime so can't speak one way or another.

I said citing KISS as an influence is a problem. You made it about diversity. There is no reason to listen to bad music just to be "diverse". :P

If you want diversity with guys who also paint their faces with pancake makeup, for talent I recommend Alice Cooper or Alien Sex fiend.

Yeah- they are one of the bands I felt wasn't proper to include this game. I kind of thought in terms of "Would these folks play an 80s throwback festival?" and in the case of a few of them, they have.

Queen was another band that could have been but I think are too big for just 80s.
