Arizona lost a tough one on the road. Got down early, came back late, and lost on a fluke shot at the buzzer. If Ayton blocks that ball in ANY other direction, the guy doesn't get off the shot. With the way they were playing, they'd have closed it out in OT.
Wyoming got blown out at home. Wasn't exactly my best day as a hoops fan.

Wyoming won their third straight OT game vs. CSU last night. They led only twice before OT: 2-0, and 32-30 at half. They were also down 16 with 5:30 to go in the game.
Wasn't the most fun game to watch, but I'll take the result. |
Do those mountain west games come on really late? |
This one wasn't too late. Started at 8 pm here. However, the football games that get broadcast nationally normally start way late. |
That said, I remember when I was at Wyoming for college, the MW had the late slot on 'Big Monday', and those games didn't start until after 10 pm MT. One of the student groups I was in was responsible for helping clean up the arena after the games (for a fundraiser). Those nights sucked. Nothing quite like cleaning up arena bathrooms or scrubbing nacho cheese off of seats at 2 am, knowing you have class the next morning. |
Yeah
I want to see a Pac 10 game once on a whole, but they are always on so late. I just wondered if the other western conferences played super late. |
The Pac-12 doesn't typically play that late, even in the central US, on their nationally televised games (i.e. Fox/FS1, ESPN, CBS, etc.). There are some late games on the Pac-12 Network though (think oregon state vs. washington state). The other conferences though, they play whenever the networks will put them on TV.
You can usually catch a late-night MW game on CBSSN, or a WCC game on ESPN2/ESPNU late on Saturday nights.
Now football, that's a whole different argument. I've seen more AM finishes than I'd probably like to admit.

Izzo has had his moments of 1st round failures in the tourney. But you're right he generally is pushing for final 4's when it matters. He just doesn't win them.

Yeah, but he has limped into the tourney as a mid seed and gone deep a few times.

Here's another march mantra: no matter how talented, Arizona will find a way to lose in the elite eight.
