Gah, that hurt, didn't see it coming at all. Reminded me a lot of Michaela going in MvGx, they're starting to give some of these pre-merge boots big edits. And just like Michaela, I bet we'll see Ali come back again cause obviously they liked her to give her so much screentime. Merge should be fun as long as the blindsides keep up

i agree that the editors are doing a good job of keeping things surprising, especially by giving bigger edits to players that go out pre-merge. sucks that we lost ali. i really liked her!

okay just doing that so ppl aren't spoiled it's a merge but it's obvious merge speculation + i feel like hustlers/heroes team up and decimate the healers? we've already heard about the ~big healer presence~ and there are so many hero/hustler duos like ashley/devon chrissy/ryan and even ben/lauren kinda. hopefully joe and mike can make some magic happen with their idols.

Well my voted favorites were Jessica, Ali, and Chrissy! I really like most of this cast. Not crazy about Joe but he's a good character. Can't stand Ryan but that's not his fault really. Cochran/Spencer/Hannah archetype and the way the show edits characters really ruined that for me.

Am I the only one watching survivor and seeing Ben and imagining its zersch playing?

I like Dr. Mike the best ... he's relateable. The opening scene when he was spear fishing, I thought "Who is that? It isn't JP or Cole ... looks more like me. Oh ... it's the middle-aged urologist"

And him cooking the fish and not caring that he's not good at it, and still sharing.

I keep waiting for another challenge with throwing stuff, hopeful that Lauren smokes it, and call out Patrick from his grave

I sat there all episode thinking it was red going to Tribal but hoping it was blue.

Then when yellow went and I was thinking Ali was for sure dead. But JP's spike in visibility made me think twice, but I figured once Ryan was going to Chrissy and talking with her about who to go for, it was for sure Ali.

I just wish Ryan didn't go so hard on Ali overplaying his hand there. I know you have to make them think you're with them, but I really felt for Ali there because people have done that to me before and it sucks so bad.

It was DEFINITELY the smarter choice. He may be less predictable or game-oriented, but JP is going to be a massive distraction for Chrissy/Ryan and Ali would have easily been a strategical threat and keep more heat on those two. Better game decision, but sucky result. I liked her.

First impression video of Chrissy, I hated her.
Then I loved her come premier and thought she is for sure going to win this thing.
These last two episodes has me pretty sour on her. She just comes across super arrogant to me. I like seeing confidence in an older woman playing, but she's smart and knows it and it's annoying me.

Still don't like Ryan at all and I have a feeling this duo goes very deep into the game, which sucks. I would love for this move against Ali to backfire on Ryan and be the reason he goes home, but I doubt it. But if tribes stay, I would think this is a terrible move on Ryan's part.

I agree! I think JP's loyalty is still to Ashley whereas Ryan's is clearly to Chrissy (or maybe Devon but Chrissy wouldn't know that).

JP also doesn't have any connections that Chrissy doesn't have where as Ryan does. And Ryan can help draw people in socially where as JP is useless when it comes to that

Agree with Bryce, that was the worse part of the Ali being voted out. I'm sure some was the editing, but it sure made like Ryan went out of his way to make her think she was safe, even when she was resigned to it.
