i wonder if each of the different Gamefaqs boards that plays gets its own representative or if they have to pick 1 site wide.

The code is vBulletin-specific, so wouldn't work here anyway.

At one time. I've not been around there in years at this point but there were at least two major ones I remember - The Contests board (Board 8) and Poll of the Day. I believe the former held most of the Mafia games, however. But there were definitely large, distinct communities with rivalries at one point.

You need to track down a fallen champion from the ashes of the IMDb messageboards.

Gamefaqs has(had?) at least 3 or 4 separate boards that played. Poll of the Day, Board 8 (the contest board) and i forget if Random Insanity or Current Events played, i think it was Current Events. Helios might have a better idea as he was active on both Poll of the Day and Board 8. im sure there was more crossover between the boards, but there defiantly were people who only played on there home board.

i remember co-hosting a poorly run game with MaxedOutRyu on PotD that had a decent split from Board 8 as well.

also once upon a time, back in late 07 to late 09 i used vBulletin, thought i was only a limited admin and didn't really do any back end stuff other then adding spoiler tag code i found elsewhere. i think most people were using other forums because vBulletin was expensive, thought a lot of people went to SMF which isn't free.

Random Insanity and Current Events both dabbled, but most games came from Board 8. Most people stayed on their own respective boards, but that was also because BOARD RIVALRY was actually a thing back then. Board 8 played first and more often, and Board 8's players took shit a lot more serious (and I'm willing to be that whoever ends up being Gamefaqs' representative has played Board 8 Mafia at some point). PotD started playing once I started hosting games there because I didn't want to wait in B8's ridiculous ass hosting queue any more. Also, I wanted to host games that were slightly more relaxed. PotD Mafia more or less died out when most of us who played went over to ProM (and the last time I tried to revive it, the resulting games were straight up ass), so I'd highly doubt the Gamefaqs representative comes from PotD.

As I wrote that, I realized something...in a way, a lot of this Mafia stuff around here is all my fault.

Who are we sending and how do we watch?

I don't have the time to devote, nor do I think I'd be our best rep. However, I'd love to try and watch, and cheer for our rep, when I can.
