I'm listening to Carter Thomas' Coin Mastery podcast, trying to figure out what his whole cryptocurrency thing is all about.

Also listening to the Privacy Advisor podcast, from the IAPP, trying to learn about the privacy and data protection sector to grow my practice into that area.

I do enjoy story-style podcasts:

-It's Alive is great. zombie survival story
-Edict Zero is a solid podcast - science fiction detective style series
-Ars Paradoxica is a fictional story about time travel, and its use in WW2 and other CIA style stuff
-The Leviathan Chronicles is pretty good. It's about immortality.
-The Once and Future Nerd is solid. It's a fantasy podcast where a group of high school kids get transported into a fantasy world.
-Audio Epic's Witch Hunter is really good.

I've listened to Serial (the Adnan one) and liked it. Crimetown was okay, but didn't really keep my attention.

For the fantasy football nerds, like me, listen to The Fantasy Footballers podcast during the season. It's solid.

I'm getting into cryptos, so I'll check out Coin Mastery, thanks!

I also listen to The Fantasy Footballers and love it.

Those story style ones sound cool and I need a new one. Which do you recommend from that batch?

It depends on what you are into. My favorite one so far is It's Alive, but if zombies aren't your thing it may not be for you.

Hold up, the podcast is "We're Alive". Sorry.

Apparently It's Alive is a whole other podcast.

That’s the one that interested me most. Might listen to the first on my drive home today

S-Town is garbage, literally the worst podcast I've ever listened to. I want 6 hours of my life back

Lol. To each his own.

But I’m like Ahoda here, it should have only taken you about 15 minutes to know what was up.

Three episodes into We’re Alive Timmah, good stuff so far. I think it’s showing its age a little bit but that maybe adds to the charm. Audio quality is still good and the voice acting is mostly solid, just some WEIRD accents from time to time. The episode length is ideal for me right now

STILL CHUGGING TIMMAH

16 chapters in, finished s1. Its got me caring about certain characters by now so I’m hooked in. They do a good job of making once unlikable characters into likable ones. Some that I hated at first are among my favorites and actually...vice versa. I don’t have a standout favorite at all, they all sorta go up and down for me which is cool

I’m on the yacht bit right now

I loved every bit of that podcast. I felt like it was easy to visualize what was going on and found myself wondering how I'd handle situations as the story progressed. It's more fun visualizing your own reactions while listening to something rather than while watch Walking Dead or something, as the visualization is already your own imagining of the story they are telling.

I've been in a podcast phase lately. These are the ones I've listened to recently:

In The Dark - I really liked both seasons and the host is very good imo.
Bearbrook - Also good, good host.
Serial - I'm on season 3 right now, which is really interesting. Also, the host is pretty good.
Accused - I kind of started it but didn't get into it.
Someone Knows Something - same, started but moved to something else

And not so recently:

Dirty John - listened in the past year, not bad
S-Town - It was a while ago but I really liked it.

I especially like the crime/mystery ones but just wanted to bump this to see if there are any good/new recommendations/feedback.

But actually I recently got caught up on Critical Role Campaign 2. It isn't technically a podcast, more of a web show, and you miss out on a little bit if you only listen vs watching (tho i mostly only listen) but it's great.

It's a Dungeons and Dragons podcast, like The Adventure Zone: Balance, but the two are polar opposite ends of a spectrum I think, but it's really fun. I expected it to be a slog since it's just so long, but the characters are all very fun. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I'm looking for a new podcast soon, maybe We're Alive.

I should definitely try that - also, I do tend to wish for visuals when listening to podcasts.

I'd recommend doing what I do and have it open in Youtube in the background, and if something interesting is happening switch over to the tab to watch. It's all professional voice actors, so the voices are great alone, but the players' body language and expressions can really make it

I am very jealous of everyone's vocal ranges
