Threats = other word for scum
Cult = scum

Not all scum were killed -> town didn't win

Cult wins when everyone left is cult (or it is inevitable), everyone left wasn't cult and it wasn't inevitable -> cult didn't win

IMO it's a stalemate, no one won.

And you're just butthurt that you were a completely worthless host. Just because cult is anti-town does not mean they are a THREAT to town. Cult could not recruit and could not kill.

I did everything to win that my win condition said I needed to.



Like I said, either there's some unmitigated bias towards the GHBers and that's the reason that Jay won or it was complete fucking incompetence on your part.

I do think it's a pretty grey area tbh

Mafia/SK wins when the numbers are even because they can kill every night, so basically you're ending the game because it's a foregone conclusion. The cult has no such killing ability, only lynches, and obviously at 1v1 it's a stalemate

BUT I do think it's similar to the case where there's 1 Mafioso and 1 Town BP left, the win goes to the mafia even though neither can technically kill each other through normal means. So I do think it was the right call. It's what I would've went with anyway

I think it should've continued until one of the two forgot to lynch the other. 24 hour days, 24 hour nights. Jay vs. Chris. Who will miss a lynch first. AS LONG AS IT TAKES

Well then if thats the case, you would just ignore what is written into the roles and just go with whatever you felt like at the time?

Why does it go to the mafioso?

"When designing the game, the Moderator should always consider what will happen there is no obvious winner. For example if:
A position is reached where nobody can kill anybody else (for example, if the last two players alive are a Bulletproof Townie and a Mafia Goon).
Everyone is dead (this can happen in a game with multiple killing roles).
There is no "right" answer as to what happens in such situations - it is up to the Mod. These situations may result in a draw, or a win for a particular faction. But the Mod should anticipate such possibilities and define the player's win conditions accordingly. [For example, it is quite common for a Serial Killer to have the following win condition: "You win if everyone else is dead, even if you are not yourself alive."]"

nah, cult=scum=threat to the town. That's how it's always been defined. Anything that's not town is scum

and yeah Merc, it's up to mod's discretion, thus why it's a grey area. But I can't remember it ever being decided differently here (not that that scenario's common at all)

nah, cult=scum=threat to the town. That's how it's always been defined. Anything that's not town is scum
