lol there were so many similarities to Community's MeowMeowBeenz episode that I almost wonder if the writers saw that and decided to do a serious take on it. Although I guess it's not too unlikely of a concept to think up independently |

FUNNY YOU SAY THAT cause Rashida Jones/Michael Schur wrote it. NBC comedy ppl | |

Good ep though! One of the better character arcs the show's had for sure. Bryce Dallas Howard was fantastic in the wedding breakdown scene
The sad/scary thing is this was probably the most believable of all the episodes so far. It was only a couple steps removed from the Facebook effect really
1. Fifteen Million Merits
2. White Bear
3. Nosedive
4. White Christmas
5. Be Right Back
6. National Anthem
7. Entire History of You
8. The Waldo Moment |

For JJ: it's the one where they go to digital heaven!!
god that was a great episode. A Black Mirror episode without a depressing ending waaaat
I was really enjoying it at face value just for the relationship drama at the beginning, but as they started to reveal the twist it just got that much better. The writing is pretty fantastic when it comes to exposition on this show. I was kind of dreading the information dump that was coming once it became clear that there was something off, but they parsed it out really well and never beat you over the head with it
Perfect song choice at the end too
1. San Junipero

I may have been a tad overhyped for this, since this was the only episode I had heard anything about going into the show (I just knew it was good tho, didn't know the concept. I thought it was gonna be about dancing!). I liked it a lot tho. Similar to Nosedive, it was quite the JOURNEY
Definitely didn't see that twist coming (although I'm not really sure it added much beyond the shock value. Made more sense why the kid was willing to go to such lengths to prevent it from leaking though). I assume that's the twist JJ was talking about? Maybe you shouldn't answer that tho (:
The kid was really good in it, even stole the show away from BRONN. The bank robbery scene might be my favorite scene from the ep, his anxiety was so palpable and believable |

there were no child molesters in the episode so I wasn't even sure that WAS what JJ was referring to |

Yeah this is the one she was talking about
tbh this is a weird episode to be overhyped for because I wasn't digging it for much of the episode until the end. The ending + reading about it after and rewatching a lot of it elevates it so much for me. There's a lot of subtle shit throughout the episode. Two that I can think of:
- The kid at the beginning having that lingering glance at the little girl when he gives her back the toy. CREEPY AS FUCK NOW
- The scene when him and Bronn are driving and Bronn starts going into detail about all of the information they have on him. The kid starts breaking down and on first viewing you think the pressure of it all is just sorta getting to him, but on second watch you realize it's because for the first time, because of what Bronn is saying, the kid realizes that they weren't only recording him but could also see what he was doing on his computer. So he starts getting VERY visibly upset at the realization that they know he was looking at child porn so the threat against him is that much more real. The scene is so well acted. This was on the drive to the bank robbery which also elevates that scene for me |

I didn't really expect the last two eps to live up to San Junipero, but damn those were (relatively) weak. I did like the last one better but it mostly felt like a crime procedural with a more interesting concept. And that ending was BOOLSHIT! I usually don't mind those somewhat ambiguous endings that cut off before we see the final confrontation, but that one didn't feel warranted/earned at all. I feel like getting to see Blue and him exchange words before she offs him (presumably) would've elevated the episode for sure
wut a disturbing concept though, that scene in the safe house bathroom was genuinely intense
