I played a bit more, this time with yet another new family. This time I stuck with just a single lady who wants to be a master criminal and nuisance. I enjoyed being a complete dick to as many people as possible, but I didn't like that that was literally a promotion requiremnt for the criminal career track.

It still feels like a shallower game than TS3 and even with allthe new body diversity mixing things up a bit, all the neighborhood sims are starting to look the same to me.

I also want to mutilate the person who wrote all these popups. I hated them in TS3 but its somehow worse here and theres no obvious options to turn off the tutorial bullshit.

It is fun though, justnot really AS fun to me, and it doesn't have a whole lot I cant get in ts3 for my sims fix (besides the fact that it runs so much more smoothly minus the mouse error earlier)

Yeah it's very, very barebones. I think it'll be very fun once more expansions come out. Especially now that worlds are mixed up with each other. I haven't really messed around with any mods yet but so far I am liking it more than TS3 base game. Certainly doesn't compare to a fully upgraded TS3 obviously, but I do think it'll be a better game overall once a few expansions are in.

I called in sick from work because I'm pretty sure I'll couchridden today, so I'll try playing at some point.

So far the game is pretty fun. Spent almost and hour or two making my sim. It might just be the graphics, but I always found myself moving something around because it didn't have a realistic shape.

The controls seem a little more complicated than sims 3 and I hate that there's no tilting of the camera so I can't do an overhead view while I build.

Speaking of building, I feel so lost. There are so many more details to a house now, like adjustable foundations and roof trims. I'm going to try building a simple square house and see how I do, but if all else fails, there's the blueprints.

So far, no major issues, but I haven't even started actually playing yet, so there's probably something that'll but out on me soon enough. Loading doesn't seem to take as long as I though either, but we'll see what happens when I go to a bar or the gym.

You can tilt the camera if you check the Sims 3 style camera box in the options section.

So far, I'm glad I didn't pay full price for this game. It's not awful, but I'm not totally hooked on it or anything yet. The loading screens are also bugging me. I'm less annoyed with the graphics than I was before, except for the grass texture.

I dont understand the majority of things left out of this. I was justifying it before as the team not being the TS3 team but so many of the things that are left out or missing or changed are just odd. I'm really liking social interactions and things are really shining there, but I wish they'd put in a bit more in other areas.

I guess they replaced the repairman to make it more difficult. Level up your handiness skill or just replace it straight away for a more expensive cost. Still wish they would have kept it in for when the shower decides to break down right before I have to go to work.

...they REALLY need a gardener though. There is no reason it should take me the entire day to maintain 8 plants. I realize it could potentially break the game since you can profit off harvesting vegetables and fruit, but they could just make it really expensive to cap that. I mean I see a gardener NPC go to the garden community lot next to the BFF household every day, why in the fuck does he exist if he can't be hired?

My sim's skin is glitchy.

Also why the hell are there no video games for sims to play together? Is this another thing they're filing under "obsolete-technology"-so-we-aren't-including-it?

The first two in game achievements I've gotten are for having my sim not perform a social interaction for 24 hours and not letting them sleep for 24 hours. Art imitating life in the saddest ways
