When I was in the bookstore I found a recording that said there was some kind ofbutton behind a cash register, but I didn'tcatch which cash register. That was a while back and I probably missed it, and now I'm kicking myself. Not kicking myself enough to go through all the areas I just ran around in though.

I haven't played the first Bioshock (though I'm pretty sure I remember reading stuff about it on TVTropes) and I'm still enjoying this a lot. I don't think it's required at all

lol I found the same one and considered not going into the next area so I could go back and find it. It bothers me a lot when I miss stuff

And yeah you don't have to play the first at all to enjoy this one. But I think playing this then the first will make the first seem weaker because it'll probably be slightly dated in comparison

I'd go first then this. Both are great

Yeah the plot of the first doesn't really tie in with this at all. I still haven't played the first (yet) and this was a top 5 game for me

I wandered ahead a bit and found another code book for a cipher, and I can't find the cipher. I'm sure I'll stumble on it soon since I'm finally supposed to be in the area where I found the code book, but it's going to bother me if I don't find it

Curtis if you haven't gone into the graveyard yet, SPOILERS + Lady Comstock resurrects the giant pile of the dead in front of Comstock house. HOLY SHIT I SUCKED AT THAT. I finally bought all of the upgrades for the bucking bronco vigor and used that to keep the dead away while I fired at Lady Comstock, then ran and bought more salts every time I ran out. Still managed to die once in the middle of the chaos. How exactly do machine gun bullets hurt a ghost anyway?

Spoiler + That was the hardest part for me too outside of a certain part near the end. You'll know when you get to it (: I found possession worked really well there actually, even though you get less uses. Since it's such a wide-open space if you possess one of the dead and quickly hide away they'll kill a bunch of their fellow dead. And I think Lady Comstock is actually suspended in some sort of neither-live-nor-dead state at that point. Not that that makes it make much more sense but yeah (:

Oh kul, there's a little demo that plays if you leave to title screen up for a while

:( I have the most annoying bug in my game. For some reason I can't pick up lockpick bags. A few are fine but most don't give me the option to open them. Of course Elisabeth still goes HEY THERES A LOCKPICK; GRAB THAT LOCKPICK OVER THERE, but I can't!

Spoiler + At least she used to say that. Holy shit, what happened! Apparently there was a time skip. Also this asylum is extremely creepy! WHO DECIDED THE MASKS WERE A GOOD IDEA!? Especially the glowing eyed Comstock ones. That will not help the patients recover their sanity. I'm getting a lot of use out of melee and vigors now because I keep running low on ammo

The second one actually has the best gameplay. Weakest story though.
