Well okay! Honestly, a little anticlimactic for Joffrey's death like others have said. But I guess the ideal ending of having Arya stab him through his stupid face would've been too fan service-y for this story (: It was pretty funny how his first scene in this episode was him being actually KIND. And then it all quickly goes downhill after he gets the sword in his hand
This death was the only thing I was spoiled for this season unfortunately. I knew Joffrey would die, but not HOW. So the whole episode was pretty tense waiting to see how it'd happen. I thought Margaery would die too so I was RELIEVED to see that wasn't the case! I got panicked when she was holding the pie and it was looking like poison was about to come into play
Coming into the episode I thought the Red Viper was somehow gonna stab him because of Joffrey's nonchalance about his security last week. I still think the poison was probably the Martells' doing but who knows
Thank fuck Shae's off the show. That scene reminded me of those scenes in movies where a boy will yell at his dog to GO HOME despite not wanting them to leave. Except those scenes usually make me sad. I got GLEEFUL when Shae started crying!!
Best part of the whole episode was Loras' "Neither will you" line. I burst out laughing at that
lol I just read someone point out that Cersei sent away Pycelle, the only man that could've possibly saved Joffrey. Just because she wanted to be a bitch and undermine Margaery. That's great
Joffrey's death is one of the most anti-climactic things since Bruce Willis and Gary Oldman never coming face to face in The Fifth Element.
