Jon's scenes made me so sad. When he called Janet, "Hey it's Jon..Stern". Having to add his last name like he's a distant memory now is incredibly sad to me after all the work he did for the family and Daniel. Saying he hopes he can see the family soon but having both of his calls to Janet/Amantha go to voicemail is just brutal. You can see the guilt on him at all times. I love that character. Also really sad to see that going on while Amantha is starting to move on (sorry Meechum but I want her to end with Jon)
Drunk Janet was great. J-Dawg being a naughty fella wanting to sell that Ferbie spread on ebay tsk tsk
Ted JR continues to be so complex and great. His annoyance with Melvin overstaying his welcome turning into sympathy as he tried to help him. gr8
I like the new girl with Daniel. She feels real. Like even before the pregnancy shit she felt like a real character who has lived a real life with her own issues before crossing paths with Daniel, not really just a plot device character. That's part of what makes the show great
Ted jr. crying over the voicemail was super sad. I root so hard for him. Probably because Clayne Crawford is rly good and does a good job of making him likable when he wants to. I sorta keep forgetting all of the bad shit he's done. It might be because the character has been turning or because I just need a rewatch
I really like Chloe. It's easy for a character like that to show up and feel cliche as some final season love interest but I think it's all working. The actress is really good. And I can't really remember a time I ever rooted for a corny kiss on a tv show before but I was really happy when it happened. Part of me liked the idea of just a platonic relationship between two people who are trying to understand each other but I'm still rooting for it to work romantically. Daniel needs to catch a break!! It'll probably end in heartbreak tho rip
I liked Trey's "something's gotta be the truth" line. Absolutely crazy for such a central mystery to still be playing out behind the scenes so subtly and still hold my interest. This shit would NOT fly on other tv shows!!! They do such a good job with that
honestly I'm a bit nervous about the Hannah mystery unfolding more. I feel like the show's better off with that never being resolved. Hopefully they keep it ambiguous but I feel like they wouldn't be pursuing this storyline if they aren't going to resolve it
Teddy and Tawney's scenes were excellent on so many levels tonight. And another episode-stealing performance by J-Dawg
What was that ending tho?? Not sure what that was supposed to represent besides the fact that Daniel's new roommate sucks
It was a p. sweet moment with Daniel laying awake likely thinking of Chloe and then was interrupted by..that. I think it represents the fact that he was feeling optimistic and looked ahead to the future and escaped a bit, but at the end of the day he's still in that not so great house with a shit convict roomie. Really I think it was just to show that Daniel's life still sux and his position right now and these situations are still his unfortunate reality. It was a punch in the gut following a nice moment
Ugh what an episode. Idk if you've seen yet Cart so spoiler:

Gut wrenching at times. Teddy asking for the divorce killed me. I really didn't expect that, I thought he'd ask if he could move back in so that came outta no where and stung even more. He absolutely killed that scene
Janet/Ted was very sad too. And the scene with Hannah's brother. The "Trey went back" line was cool
What if Daniel never shares a scene with Amantha or Tawney or Teddy again??? EVER!! It's looking like it. That's kinda brutal to me
Just watched last week's episode. V. good. Once again brutal at times, I was yelling at Daniel when he kept being a dick and throwing things back at Chloe. I want Daniel and Chloe to work out v. badly, I can see him leaving with her at the end but that might be too cliche
Was worried about a ricochet and thought Teddy was gonna get himself killed. Now THAT would be brutal! I've had a weird feeling that a terrible tragedy would happen at the final stretch here
Series finished. I'm emotionally distraught. Very few shows coming to an end have impacted me even half as much as this one. I both love and really hate the feeling

First I gotta say that Clayne Crawford really crushed it. Aden Young is effortlessly incredible and its so dumb that he's never nominated for anything major, but Teddy NEARLY stole the show from Daniel from time to time and its because of Crawford. I don't think I've ever gone so 180 on a character ever
The last two episodes were so good. Daniel recounting his shower rape was BRUTAL. Some of Young's best acting
Teddy telling Ted about the divorce, everyone watching the news (I almost wish they showed EVERYONE. Like every little side character that this story every impacted, like that bookshop owner), the two families at dinner, Daniel and Chloe dancing, Teddy apologizing to Daniel over the phone and then handing it to Tawney, J-Dawg going straight for that monkey bread, the end daydream in the field, THE KERWIN SCENE. God that Kerwin scene, so good. And Daniel recounting the "because I know ya" moment killed me. Absolutely killed me
I'll miss this show and these characters so much. It might be the best show ever made honestly. It's terrible how underseen it is, especially since the cast is so good and deserves a lot of recognition. I don't think there'll ever be a show like it
